About Us
About Boycott Workfare
Boycott Workfare is a UK-wide campaign to end forced unpaid work for people who receive welfare.
We are a grassroots campaign, formed in 2010 by people with experience of workfare and those concerned about its impact.
We expose and take action against companies and organizations profiting from workfare; encourage organisations to pledge to boycott it; and actively inform people of their rights.
Boycott Workfare is not a front for any political party, or affiliated with any political party. Anyone who shares our aims is welcome to get involved.
Boycott Workfare actively informs claimants of their rights and provides information to support claimants in challenging workfare and sanctions. Boycott Workfare do not currently have the capacity to take on casework and we recommend that claimants contact local organisations for 1-1 advice and support.
Come along to London Boycott Workfare meetings. The next meeting will be 7pm Wednesday 26 September at the Institute of Race Relations (2-6 Leeke Street, Kings Cross Road, WC1X 9HS).
(Please note: we are happy to speak to journalists, but media are not invited to our meetings).
If you can’t make it, but would like to feed in ideas or thoughts beforehand, please email us a few days in advance.
