Personal Stories

Stories & experiences of Workfare

  1. I'm not on the placement, we had info from s/o at Urban Futures, and then spoke to s/o on CWP at the shop
  2. I'm not on the placement, it was somebody we met outside Urban Futures this morning. 14.10.1
  3. Job centre staff went above and beyond to put me into this scheme, they even became a 2nd referee for the application. I was told it was either cancer research or MWA. I had no choice in the matter. I refused to sign information consent form 3 weeks in, so they stopped my placement. I complained to the MP and they lied to her saying I was the one who stopped the placemnt not them. I believe Cancer Resaerch are well informed about what the job centre is doing. There wasn't any real work for me to do, thus no work expereince to offer me. Tagging old clothes does not constitue public good or benefit me in anyway in getting a job.
