Changing Lives In Cheshire

Personal Stories

Stories & experiences of Workfare

  1. I walked out one month early without come-backs because they tried to change my hours, thus taking my travelling time over the 90-min-each-way limit and, when I pointed this out to them, they tried to con me into accepting it. It was the insult to my intelligence and evident contempt for me as a person that did it for me. Utter scum, the lot of them!
  2. A friend of mine was sent here on his Community Work Placement.
  3. Charity accepting claiments every week 4+ at a time. Claiming induction as training to exploit more funding per person. 30 hours a week in a cold warehouse.
